In Loving Memory of Paul Wesley Winders
Paul Wesley Winders, 61, died on January 14, 2022 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on January 9, 1961 and was a graduate of the class of 1979 from Ernest W. Seaholm High School in Birmingham, Michigan. In 1983, he graduated from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He met his wife, Indira, at Bucknell and they were married in 1985 in Morris Plains, New Jersey. He began his engineering career at Singer-Kearfott in Wayne, New Jersey and earned a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey in 1986. Later that year, Paul and Indira moved to Germantown, Maryland where he continued his career in the telecommunications industry at Booz Allen Hamilton and then InnoVoice. Nine years and four children later, they moved to Leesburg, Virginia to be closer to Paul’s new startup company, NewVoice, Inc. Two years later, the company was acquired by Music Telecom and the family relocated to Easton, Pennsylvania where they settled until present day. In later years, he moved away from engineering and into sales and marketing positions.
Paul was a proud supporter of all of his children’s academic and sporting endeavors over the years and a lifelong fan of the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan football teams. He was actively involved in Boy Scouts as a leader, accompanying his three sons to summer camp and assisting them with their Eagle Scout projects. He enjoyed working on home improvement and renovation projects for his own houses, as well as helping family and friends. When he was younger, his hobbies included racquetball and skiing; he also loved reading mystery and action thriller novels, doing Sudoku puzzles, listening to a wide range of music, and watching many different types of movies and television shows. He was always up for a challenge, be it word or number puzzles, helping his children with their math or physics homework, or finishing their video games before they did. He is remembered as having an easygoing, sociable nature and a great sense of humor.
Paul is preceded in death by his brother, Keith Winders. Paul is survived by his parents, Beverly and Frank Winders of Frankfort, Michigan and Vero Beach, Florida; his brother, Mark Winders, of La Grange, Illinois; his sister, Lynn Rovelstad and her husband, Steven, of Fort Myers, Florida; his ex-wife, Indira Winders, of Easton, Pennsylvania; his children Devon Winders and wife, Savannah, of Aurora, Colorado; Ross Winders and wife, Nadia, of Easton, Pennsylvania; Sondra Hines and husband, Jason, of Allentown, Pennsylvania; Colin Winders of Naples, Florida; and his nieces and nephews.
